f) The Daily Blog: Websense Issues Slacker Alert
Ah the rights of spring. Where would we be without the annual NCAA
Tourney and the accompanying online rush to populate conference
brackets and drop dibs on the hometown favorite. And where would we be
without
the yearly finger wagging from Websense about potential revenue losses
from legal liability, wasted productivity and, of course, munched
bandwidth.

g) Ask the Experts: Pop Ups
Donnie White asks: In the last week or so, I have been inundated with
pop ups. I tried Stopzilla and a few other pop-up blockers, to no
avail. Now the caps lock changes and makes typing very difficult. The
antivirus has caught and quarantined a bunch of trojan viruses. Is
there any
help?

Brian Miller responds: First, NEVER open an attachment to an e-mail.
That is your first line of defense. Then, go to
http://www.grc.com/default.html
and click on the "Shoot the Messenger" link.

c) White Paper: Strategies for Managing Application Traffic
WAN traffic is more complex, more diverse and more malicious than ever.
As a result, the traditional response of adding bandwidth is hardly a
solution that ROI-conscious organizations are embracing. Learn how
application traffic management is a smarter and more cost-effective
solution that provides the visibility, control and optimization that
business applications need to perform effectively.
