Want to explore the latest contribution to Linux computing? Join Linux kernel author David Mosberger, a senior research scientist at HP Labs, for a free webinar on Nov. 19. This online event is titled "Getting the Most from the Highest Performance Linux Computing."

Mosberger will explore the areas where the massive parallelism and native 64-bit addressability of the new Intel® Itanium® 2 architecture will have the greatest impact. The contribution of Linux on Itanium 2-based systems will be compared with earlier architectures that support Linux. The online event will include tips on getting the best performance for applications on Itanium 2-based systems. It will also include a review of HP's new Itanium 2-based systems.

This webinar will have a special focus on the use of Itanium 2-based Linux systems for computational analysis, as in university computing environments. The event will include a review of the Ohio Supercomputer Center's plans for implementation and use of a supercomputer based on the Itanium 2-based HP Workstation zx6000.
